It is situated in the heart of the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape Complex which was declared a listed country reservation area in 1992 and entered in the UNESCO world and cultural heritage list in 1996.
The blind arm of the River Dyje flows directly beneath the hotel rooms while the deep and scented alluvial forest rustles. This forest and the nearby extensive chateau park attracts visitors for walks and relaxation.
The landscape of the Lednice-Valtice grounds took centuries to transform. The first to live here was the Liechtenstein family, whose property Lednice became from the mid 13th century. More than one hundred years later the family also acquired Valtice so that both estates became the core of an extensive family property. The entire area between Lednice and Valtice can be called a romantic landscape - since the start of the 19th century it was landscaped into the biggest landscape park in the whole of continental Europe.
The landscaping took place according to the designs of Bernhardt Petrino (1767-1853) that included the chateau park rebuilt
in the English landscape park style and its model was also used for the surroundings of the Lednice fishponds. J. Hardtmuth also contributed to the enrichment of the landscape by his romantic buildings between 1798-1802 when a 62-metre high Minaret (in the Moorish style) appeared as did John's Castle resembling a medieval ruin. The romantic mood around the fishponds is created by Apollo's Temple with Klieber's sculptures, also providing a view and the Fish Lodge. The other buildings are the Hunting Lodge in the Empire style (1806), Novz dvur and Randez-vous (Diana's Temple), built in the shape of a victory arch, standing on the highest point of the Bori les (Bori Forest) at 195 a.s.l. The panorama is completed by the Three Graces Temple with a sculptural set by M. Fischer and the entire complex ends in the Border Lodge erected in its time on the border with Austria. The most remote building is the Colonnade in Valtice providing a view of the surrounding countryside.
We offer comfortable accommodation in 45 tastefuly furnished double and twin rooms and 4 two-room suites. All rooms are equipped with modern bathroom with bathtub (30) or shower (16) and hairdryer, TV SAT, minibar, free Internet connection, direct-dial telephone, radio, clock and fire alarms. Two rooms are specially equipped for disabled persons and 21 rooms have a balcony with view of the forest. We offer smoking and non-smoking rooms. Extra bed for child if required.
Chateau-style hotel restaurant offers menu containing traditional Czech dishes and international cuisine. We dont use any chemical gastronomical substances, only natural quality local ingrediences and biological meat. Part of the restaurant is a stylish salon equipped with an indoor grill. You can also sit in the pleasant outdoor garden next to the restaurant or the children's play area and tennis courts.
Wine cellar for 80 people also forms part of the hotel complex. We organise local wine-tasting accompanied by cymbalon music.
We also offer two congress halls for 80-100 and 150-200 persons and two smaller lounges.
Sport activities at the hotel: tennis courts with artificial surface, volleyball and foot tennis playground, cricket, table tennis, electronic darts, mountain bikes.
